Editing Qiews
Create a new Qiew template by editing an existing one.

Your organization may want to start using Qiew by creating a small number of templates for particular purposes. To maintain a consistent "look and feel", they could be modifications of a base layout. That will propagate the brand's colors, logo, etc. in templates derived from it.

How to create a base template
First, locate a Qiew template to modify. Find those already stored in your QiewMaker installation by pressing the Qiew button and then the Folders button. Select a Folder from the list of the Qiew templates it holds.

The template will be displayed as a "Preview". Note the green tab in the lower left corner. That shows the template as it would be seen by a receiver.

Editing images of a base template

Press the Edit button to make changes. All the icons for missing images and all the images you see can be selected and another image selected.

Tap any of them and a popup menu will appear at the top of the screen. Its Clear button is a shortcut for editing the Image ID. The More button will show a list of images that are stored on the phone. Select one and the template will be displayed in Preview mode so you can decide how you like the change.

Press Edit again to continue changing images.

Editing text of a base template

The text you see in the Qiew is editable. Simply tap it, and the pop-up for Clearing and editing that block of text will appear.

When finished, tap the checkmark icon in the lower right corner to save your edits. If you do not tap it, the edits will not be saved.

Next steps

You can edit images and text in your Qiew anytime. The Qiew and Edit buttons simply toggle to each other, so you can always check immediately the Preview of any change.

After editing images and text you are ready to learn about more editing capabilities and storing your Qiew.
